OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Steph, Owner and registered breeder of Silverseeker Weimaraners. I'm a Mum of 2 humans and 3 fur babies. I have a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences and a Master of Education. I'm a crazy dog lover that married into a hunting family. My husband Justin, grew up on a farm and has spent his whole life hunting and training working dogs. We spend our time between our home in suburban Melbourne and the family farm in Archerton. 

In 2018, we lost two of our fur children to cancer within 6 months of each other. Although we loved these pups more than I can explain, they taught us a lot about the importance of finding the right breed to suit your family and lifestyle. When deciding on our next addition, we wanted a breed that was versatile enough to hunt, yet be gentle with young children and trustworthy around livestock and other dogs. Thus, we arrived at the Weimaraner.

Our founding Dam Lulu is a beautiful Ghostwind girl all the way from Perth. Not only is she well built and from champion show lines, but her beautiful nature makes her the perfect companion. She is the most loving house pet, yet has a natural inclination to work. It's truly is a perfect match... And so with that, Silverseeker was born.

We are currently establishing ourselves as a boutique breeder that will raise healthy and well bred working and companion dogs. Although we are breeding from show quality lines, we believe that personality and temperament are paramount.
